1. At the condo, we've finished painting all of the L shaped room and hallways. We also are almost done with the base of the bedroom (we still want to do stenciling along the top). So painting wise, all we need to do is the one bathroom and the kitchen. We also got VERY nice furniture from my aunt and uncle in Minnesota which we are SOOOO blessed to have!
2. We also learned that the carpeting in the bathroom with the shower is not glued down AND has tiling underneath it so we don't have to tile that! Which was wonderful to learn because that would have been a heck of a job! In the kitchen, we're going to try something to get rid of the yellow spots from who knows what so we don't have to tile that either.
3. We have our wedding shower and there was a LOT of people, but I think it was still fun and we got a LOT of things. When we went to return the doubles (and some triples) of things, we left with $114 extra too which we weren't expecting to get! There are a couple miscellaneous thank yous that need to be sent out, but basically everyone should have theirs.
4. We've gotten some openings to invite more people, but we haven't gotten those new invites out yet because I just don't want to make more invites even though I need to. :P
5. I made and ordered our guest book which we're just going to have people write little notes in at the reception rather than the typical write everyone's name in a book as they come into the ceremony kind of thing. I know myself and I would not keep a book of people's names. I'd rather have something more personal which also doubles as a book of our engagement pictures. :)
6. I finally booked a florist in Menomonee Falls (Bank of Memories) too! She was the most expensive of the three I looked into, but was the most personable and remembered little things about me from the previous time I had met her so it just felt right. I felt most comfortable giving her the job of creating beautiful arrangements for our big day. :)
7. We also started our slideshow which we have all the pictures (and more) for, but we're just working on getting the music together and lining it all up.
I believe that is all for now. I just need to order some miscellaneous things like garters, cake servers, flower girl basket, etc. We're also working on the groomsmen gifts and ring bearer gift. I also need to figure out my shoes and veil stuff soon too along with those extra invites. It's coming up all so soon now. 39 days!!!!!
